DOCUMENTARY
Response: A Portrait of Four Environmental Artists in Vermont
This is a mid-length documentary I directed, shot and edited for my thesis at UVM. It is an intimate look at the lives of four local artists who seek different approaches to addressing environmental challenges through their work. It explores the commonalities and differences in the artists’ approach to process, content, participation, and materiality. It was ultimately sold to PBS to be part of their “Made Here” series.
Green Mountain Girls Farm
This is a short documentary project I directed, shot and edited that explores a small working hill farm in Northfield, Vermont. The goal of this project was to tell a succinct story of the farm, explain their approach to permaculture hill farming and its benefits for the land and animals, and highlight their farm-stay programs.
Guys Family Haying (Editor)
This is short documentary about the Welch Family Farm in Morristown, Vermont and their tradition of haying as a family every year, produced by Mt. Mansfield Media. I was the editor for this project and challenged with turning a few different years of haying footage into a concise and heartfelt story about family, tradition, and the land.
